Carer visa (subclass 116 /836)
If you have a relative in Australia who has a long-term medical condition and requires your support and care in everyday aspects of life, then you may be eligible to apply for a carer visa. The person who needs your care must be a relative or member of your family, an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. In addition to this, your relative must have their medical condition assessed by a designated health provider and must show that they have no relatives in Australia who can provide the care as well as not being able to get the care from health services in Australia.
Remaining Relative visa (subclass 115/835)
This visa allows someone outside Australia whose only near relatives are living in Australia to live in Australia as a permanent resident.
Eligibility
Your (and your partner's) relatives in Australia must be your only near relatives. You must have someone who will provide an assurance of support.
Aged Dependent Relative (subclass 114/838)
You might be eligible for this visa if you are sponsored by a relative or their partner who lives in Australia, you do not have a spouse or de facto partner and meet the dependency and age requirements.
